The Leicestershire Saturday Medals was first competed for in the 1992/93 season when it was the fifth tier cup for Junior teams (after the Junior Cup the Saturday Shield, Saturday Trophy and the Saturday Vase). It replaced the Saturday Medals ‘C’ competition after the County Cups were reorganized for the 1992/93 season.

It ran for 5 seasons until the end of the 1996/97 season.
