The Peterborough & District Football League was formed in 1902/03 as the Peterborough & District Junior League.

Most of the “Leicestershire” based teams that have entered came from Rutland due to the close proximity to Peterborough.

The Peterborough & District League sits at step 7 of the Non League Pyramid.
