The District League expands to two divisions.
More teams joined the league this season as a second division was created. The divisions were now named Premier Division and Division One. The teams who joined were a mix of reserve teams of Senior League clubs plus five first teams (mainly from the South Leicestershire League).

Holwell Works Reserves also joined the league (they also continued to run a reserve team in the Melton & District league so were running two reserve teams this season)
