The District League expands to two divisions.
More teams joined the league this season as a second division was created. The divisions were now named Premier Division and Division One. The teams who joined were a mix of reserve teams of Senior League clubs plus five first teams (mainly from the South Leicestershire League).

Holwell Works Reserves also joined the league (they also continued to run a reserve team in the Melton & District league so were running two reserve teams this season)

- Holwell Works Reserves resigned from the league during the season.
After the season finished the following teams moved from the league:

- Earl Shilton Albion Reserves to the South Leicestershire Football League.
- Fleckney Athletic to the Market Harborough & District Football League.
Anstey Nomads ‘A’ also left the league after this season.
