The District League expands to two divisions.

More teams joined the league this season as a second division was created. The divisions were now named Premier Division and Division One. The teams who joined were a mix of reserve teams of Senior League clubs plus five first teams (mainly from the South Leicestershire League).

From the Leicester & District Mutual Football League

Desford Reserves.

From the Leicester City Football League

English Electric Whetstone .

From the Loughborough & District Amateur Football Alliance

Shepshed Albion Reserves.

From the Melton Mowbray & District Amateur Football League

Midland Woodworkers Reserves.

From the South Leicestershire Football League

Ashby Road Sports, Burgess Products Reserves, Hinckley Casuals and Newbold Verdon.

From the Tamworth & Trent Valley Football League

Donisthorpe Colliery Miners Welfare Reserves.

Holwell Works Reserves also joined the league (they also continued to run a reserve team in the Melton & District league so were running two reserve teams this season)
