Please be aware that the tables are still a work in progress. I have the division winners and runners-up from later District League handbooks but I have no league tables, so I’m in the process of collecting all the results and cross validating them to come up with the final league tables, which may take some time !

Before the start of the season the following teams moved to the league:

From the Leicester & District Mutual Football League

Countesthorpe United (+Reserves) and Hillcroft (+Reserves).

From the Leicester City Football League

Dunton Bassett.

From the Nuneaton & District Amateur Football League

Downes (+Reserves).

Hinckley Athletic Reserves joined the league, this team was the old Fortuna team that were in the District League last season who were taken over by Hinckley Athletic to become the reserve team.

Earl Shilton Town, Leicestershire & Rutland Constabulary Reserves and Thorpe Acre also joined the league.

  • Market Bosworth resigned from the league at the start of the season (they were scheduled to play Wigston Fields ‘A’ in August but did not play any games).
  • Thorpe Acre resigned from the league before the start of the season (there were in the League handbook for this season but not were not in any fixtures). Thorpe Acre continued to run a team in the Charnwood Sunday League so this was probably an attempt to create a Saturday team that did not get off the ground.
  • Wellington Victoria Reserves resigned from the league before the start of the season.

Reserve Section

Initially the reserve teams were going to be split into two separate divisions (A & B) according to the league handbook. Subsequent fixtures and tables published in the newspapers show a single reserve section (this is confirmed in later league handbooks where only one division is recorded as having champions and runners up.)
