The following teams rejoined the Senior League after the war

Coalville Town and Ibstock Penistone Rovers.

Kettering Town resumed playing after the war, they previously played in the United Counties League but this season entered the first team in both the Leicestershire Senior League and the United Counties League.

Melton Town were a newly formed club.

Ellistown Colliery joined the league but I’m not sure if they are a new team or if they played previously.

  • Ibstock Penistone Rovers to the Central Amateur Football League
  • Kettering Town left to continue to run one team in the United Counties League

Loughborough Colleges left the league due to vacations clashing with the football season.

Leicester City Colts & REME Leicestershire both left the league.
