Honours
Winners | Runners Up | |
---|---|---|
Central Division | Gresley Rovers | Anstey MM |
Western Division | Moira United | Measham Imperial |
For this season the league was split into two separate divisions, (very) loosly based on the geographical location of the clubs (I’m not sure how the Melton based teams ended up in the Western Division while Gresley Rovers & Coalville Town were in the Central Division !)
Before the start of the season the following teams moved to the league:
From the Coalville & District Amateur Football League
Moira United and Whitwick Colliery.
From the Kettering & District Amateur Football League
Kettering Town Reserves and Market Harborough Sports.
From the Loughborough & District Amateur Football Alliance
Barrow Old Boys, Quorn Methodists and Shepshed Albion.
From the South Derbyshire Football League
Overseal Institute.
Anstey MM (Formed by the merger of pre-war teams Anstey Methodists & Anstey St Mary’s) and Sileby British Legion were newly formed clubs.
Measham Imperial previously played in the league in 1939/40 and Whitwick White Cross previously played in the league in 1941/42 but neither had played since then during the war years.
Stewarts & Lloyds Corby Reserves also joined the league.
