As the First World War ended, it was decided to restart the Leicestershire Senior League. Of the teams that played in the league in the 1915/16 season, only Coalville Swifts and Whitwick Imperial remained.

They were joined by new clubs Coalville WMC, Loughborough Brush, Loughborough YMCA and Stableford’s Works, and by Loughborough Empress Works who previously played in the Loughborough & District Amateur Football League and Pegg’s Green Victoria who previously played in the Coalville & District Amateur Football League.

The league officially restarted on 28th December 1918 with a match between Whitwick Imperial and Coalville Swifts.
