  • Hinckley United were accepted into the league in September but withdrew during October without playing a match.
  • Loughborough Corinthians were due to start their fixtures in January but resigned from the league at the end of December without playing a match. They also resigned from the Central Alliance at the same time.

After this season the league stopped due to the war. It started up again in the 1918/19 season. Coalville Swifts and Whitwick Imperial rejoined immediately, with Coalville Town, Moira United and Shepshed Albion rejoining the next season after.

After the season finished the following teams moved from the league:

  • Gresley Rovers to the Central Alliance when this league restarted in 1919/20.
  • Newhall Swifts to the Burton & Football Association in 1919/20.

Burton Workers Union disbanded at the end of this season.
